Codington County adopts new comprehensive land-use plan and rezones Rolling Hills Ranch
The Codington County Board adopted a modernized Comprehensive Land Use Plan and passed Ordinance 51 to rezone the Rolling Hills Ranch area to a planned residential development after Planning & Zoning recommended the change; the vote was unanimous.

Codington County commissioners on Monday approved a new countywide Comprehensive Land Use Plan and adopted Ordinance 51 to rezone a portion of Pelican Township for the Rolling Hills Ranch residential project. The Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended the up-to-date land-use framework and the rezoning after a public review process. The board vote to adopt the land-use plan and rezoning was unanimous.
