The Providence City Council approved Resolution 07‑2026 on July 15 to adopt a citywide tree inventory and community forest management plan prepared by a national arborist firm. Staff said the assessment cataloged over 4,000 city trees, identified species composition, mapped locations, and recommended maintenance, pruning and removal priorities along with public outreach and grant opportunities.
