Sunrise Engineering told the council that about $450,000 remains from the water project and roughly $686,000 is in sewer contingency (potentially $949,000 with adjustments). The council discussed priorities including a chlorine residual analyzer, hydrant replacements and a 12" high-pressure line to support east-side development.

The full story

Sunrise Engineering representatives told the Spring City Council on April 22 that the 700 East water line and chlorine building are complete except for punch-list items and that roughly $450,000 remains available to allocate toward additional water system work. Jason Brimhall, a Sunrise Engineering project representative, said, "approximately $450,000 of project funding remains available" and outlined several possible uses for those funds: replacing 24 nonfunctional fire hydrants (estimated $12,000–$14,000 each), constructing a 12-inch high-pressure zone line to serve future development east of town (estimated $212,000), adding gravel to 800 East to improve road conditions (about $9,000), or installing a chlorine residual analyzer in the lower tank chlorine building (estimated $25,000–$30,000).
