Furnas County approves $5,000 in support for Prairie Plains CASA
After a 2025–2026 impact report from Prairie Plains CASA, the board voted unanimously July 14 to provide $5,000 in county support for local CASA services.

At the July 14 meeting of the Furnas County Board of Commissioners, Caitlin Whitehead of Prairie Plains CASA presented the program’s 2025–2026 impact report. Following the presentation, Commissioner Dennis Tegtman moved, and Commissioner Allan McCoy seconded, a motion to give $5,000 in county support to Prairie Plains CASA. The motion passed with aye votes from Commissioners Mike Sexton, Dennis Tegtman and Allan McCoy.
