Residents told the River Ridge CDD board that plugged drains and a possibly non‑functional retention pond are causing ponding and overflow near Pinehurst; the board directed the district engineer to inspect and asked staff to collect photos and video for further study.

Shari Perkins, a River Ridge resident, told the Board of Supervisors on July 23 that drainage problems persist a week after an inlet was plugged and that water was overflowing at the Pinehurst triangle monument. Perkins said a neighbor, Fred Kronke, had emailed her that a retention pond between River 8 and River 9 "appears to be non‑functional; ponding is occurring and is nearly 1’ above the drain." Perkins said she would provide photographs and video to district staff.
