At the March 4, 2026 meeting, Community Development Director Dave Johnson told the Coralville Planning & Zoning Commission that members may participate in meetings virtually, but the commission’s rules require four members to be physically present to conduct official business, so virtual participation cannot be counted toward quorum. Johnson presented the policy clarification as part of routine meeting items; commissioners did not vote on a policy change during the meeting.
