Pacific University says fundraising shortfall delays Longhouse construction documents
Pacific University reported it needs roughly $140,000 to purchase construction documents for a student-designed Longhouse and that several grant requests (about $300,000) were declined; the university has raised $34,000 locally and has two outstanding grant applications totaling about $35,000.

Pacific University representatives updated the committee on the Longhouse project, a student-conceived community gathering space intended for cultural practice and events. Bridal Andrey, the associate director of development for grants, said the project needs about $140,000 to produce construction documents.
