Hanscom Field and Hanscom AFB updates: reduced small‑aircraft activity, gate improvements and collaboration center plans
HATS members heard that small-aircraft operations at Hanscom Field are down about 30–40% (mainly flight schools), Jet Aviation construction will begin in June, a Hanscom Drive sign replacement contract was awarded, and Base leaders are pursuing a Vandenberg gate land swap and MILCON appropriation for a future gate facility.
