The Waterloo Board of Education approved the district’s proposed cafeteria prices for the 2026–27 school year.
The packet presented prices for the coming year and the board voted to approve them after discussion. The recommended rates in the board packet listed prices for K–8, grades 9–12, breakfast and adult meals; the motion passed on roll-call affirmation.
Board members discussed the nutrition program alongside the decision to discontinue the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and noted that price-setting follows efforts to ensure the food-service fund remains solvent.
The administration will publish the approved price schedule and include instructions for families applying for free or reduced-price meals.
