The Planning Commission reviewed a proposed 'Buffer Zone' definition that would establish a land area between commercial, industrial or other non-residential uses and adjacent residential uses to minimize impacts such as noise, dust, light, visual intrusion and traffic. The proposed text specifies that buffer zones may consist of landscaping, berms, fencing, walls, open space or natural vegetation and states that property owners must maintain buffers in perpetuity.
