At Mr. Hall’s request to move the item, Lee Mason moved to amend Item #4 from an information item to an action item; the board approved the amendment and then voted to accept a $500 donation to help pay Science Fair expenses and the $1,000 scholarship. The motions to move the item and to accept the donations carried 5-0.
The board recorded no conditions on accepting the funds and did not specify any required reporting back from the foundation or district staff within the minutes.
