Calhoun County creates opioid settlement "emerging needs" fund, approves $200,000 appropriation
The board unanimously approved a resolution to create an opioid settlement emerging-needs fund and appropriated $200,000 from restricted settlement proceeds; county staff said the county expects roughly $13 million in settlement payments over about 15 years and will keep funds restricted to allowable opioid-mitigation uses.
