Premier Lakes reports algae and maintenance progress; aerator sound reduced but tone remains a concern

Premier Lakes told the River Ridge board that routine maintenance has kept lakes and dry retention areas in good condition, but algae was observed; a cabinet reduced one aerator’s measured sound from 64 to 52 decibels though staff said the tone—not just decibel level—remains an issue and staff will evaluate moving the compressor.

Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes updated the board on lake maintenance, saying the lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are "in good shape" though algae growth was observed as a basic maintenance condition. Kurth noted that a palm tree on the shoreline of Lake E7A had been removed and that plantings are scheduled to be installed in the near future.
