Public hearing set July 2 on rezoning 37-acre Buffalo Township parcel

Planning staff announced a first reading and public hearing set for July 2, 2026, on an ordinance to rezone a 37.07-acre parcel in Buffalo Township from 'A-G' (Agricultural-General) to 'C-2' (Commercial and Light Industrial); Supervisor Bribriesco noted a prior 1996 zoning approval.

Planning and Development Director Greg Schaapveld notified the Board that the Planning Department filed an ordinance amendment to Chapter 6 of the Scott County Code of Ordinances proposing to rezone a 37.07-acre parcel in Section 2 of Buffalo Township from an 'A-G' Agricultural-General designation to 'C-2' Commercial and Light Industrial. Schaapveld said this was the first of two readings and scheduled the public hearing for Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. during the Board meeting.
