Wood River board approves staffing contracts, Solution Tree PD and copier lease

At its March 16 meeting the Wood River Rural Schools Board of Education approved a package of personnel and operational items, voting unanimously on classified staff salaries, two teacher contracts, a Solution Tree professional development contract and a copier lease.
The board approved classified staff salaries (motion by Jodi Rauert; second by Dylan Gill) and later approved teaching contracts for Cassidy Stutzman (motion by Jodi Rauert; second by Craig Huxtable) and Jenna Frick (motion by Dylan Gill; second by Jodi Rauert). All motions passed by a 6–0 vote.
The board also approved a contract with Solution Tree for professional development during the 2026–2027 school year (motion by Nick Rennau; second by Crystal Stutzman) and awarded a copier lease and service agreement to Eake's (motion by Dylan Gill; second by Crystal Stutzman). Both motions passed unanimously.
In related business the board adopted a new superintendent evaluation instrument (motion by Dylan Gill; second by Crystal Stutzman) to guide annual performance review procedures. No contentious debate or roll-call dissent was recorded on any of these items.
Board members indicated these approvals were intended to support classroom instruction, professional learning and day‑to‑day operations in the coming school year. The motions were routine and carried by unanimous vote.
