Kara Ratanek, a public commenter, told the Pittsburgh Public Schools board during the July 20 virtual hearing that she has seen no substantive implementation update for the district's "Future Ready" plan since the board voted to move it forward two months ago and urged trustees to demand the quarterly updates they were promised. "You voted two months ago to move this plan forward... So where is our update? What has actually been done to turn this vision into a detailed executable plan?" she asked.
