During new business on Sept. 3, Silver Creek Township covered several administrative items.
Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen said the township will add a link on its website with information and a submission point for comments on the Mississippi River St. Cloud Watershed plan; the meeting minutes note the comment period is open through Sept. 6, 2024.
The clerk also reported receipt of an email that appeared to be from Thielen Excavating requesting payment by wire. Township staff confirmed there was no outstanding invoice and contacted Thielen Excavating; the board determined the message was a scam.
On technology needs, the board reviewed a single vendor quote for an office computer and agreed to seek a second quote before approving purchases. Vice Chairman Brandon Geyen recommended adding laptops for supervisors to the quotes.
The board also noted it will discuss proposed projects and the 2025 budget at its Oct. 1, 2024 meeting.
