The Town of Russell Board of Selectmen voted 3-0 on Jan. 20 to appoint Derrick Daudlin as Acting Fire Chief until a permanent hire can be found. Wayne Precanico moved to appoint Daudlin; Tom Kulig seconded the motion, and the board carried it by recorded voice vote.
