Committee advances plan to move Idaho EMS bureau into Military Division
Senators advanced House Bill 206 to transfer the Emergency Medical Services Bureau from the Department of Health and Welfare to the Idaho Military Division, a reorganization sponsors said would centralize governance, consolidate funds and reduce administrative staffing; the committee recommended the bill be sent to the Senate floor.

Senator Carl Bjerke presented House Bill 206 to the Senate State Affairs committee as a broad restructuring that would move the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau from the Department of Health and Welfare to the Idaho Military Division, effective July 1, 2025.
