On June 18 the Smyth County Board of Supervisors voted to enter a closed session under Code of Virginia §2.2‑3711(a)(5) concerning Project Nemo. The motion to convene the closed session was made by Royal Oak District Supervisor Courtney Widener and seconded by Rye Valley District Supervisor Jason Parris; the recorded vote to enter closed session was unanimous.
