Washington County introduces new elections and appraisal managers

A county staff member introduced two leadership changes in Assessment and Taxation at Washington County's work session, naming David Hamilton as the new Elections Division Manager and promoting Dylan Ross to appraisal division manager.

David Hamilton, the new Elections Division Manager, was described by the introducer as bringing "more than 25 years of nonpartisan election experience" and a focus on access for voters with disabilities. Hamilton thanked the board and said, "I really do appreciate that opportunity to serve Washington County," and noted his domestic and international work with election organizations.

Dylan Ross, an internal promotion, was introduced as the appraisal division manager after serving as tax roll administration supervisor. Ross told the board he was "excited for the opportunity to assist my county team and the community in a on a much higher level."

Board members voiced congratulations and framed the appointments as examples of successful internal promotion and continuity. One commissioner said internal promotions are "nothing more gratifying than an internal promotion," and members welcomed the new managers.

The introductions were part of routine leadership communication at the work session; no formal votes or personnel actions were recorded on the session transcript. The board adjourned the work session to convene the regular board meeting and planned an executive session later in the day.
