The Augusta County School Board unanimously approved a revised five-year comprehensive plan after a presentation by district administrators outlining content changes, new measurable steps and a proposed public-facing format.
"Really, what we'd like the board to focus on is the content of the plan," a district administrator said, noting the document is intended to be a living resource tied to personnel, budget and individual school goals. The plan highlights top objectives for each section, proposed action steps and an evidence box to record progress.
Board members praised the clearer format and the effort to make the plan more user-friendly. A motion to approve the comprehensive plan was made, seconded and carried by voice vote, recorded as 7-0.
Administrators said the plan will be used to guide the district's work over the next five years and that a public-facing version may follow to present key points in a more accessible format.
