The Long Prairie‑Grey Eagle School Dist. School Board approved its long‑term facilities maintenance (LTFM) plan, accepted several donations, authorized recommended food‑service vendors on unit‑price bids and granted the secondary administration discretion to finalize the high‑school handbook prior to the start of the school year.
During reports the board acknowledged fundraising results and donations: "Fidelity Charitable Donor Advised Fund gave $50 to the choir," a board member announced; the Volk Prairie Lions donated $2,585 to support a golf team raffle and the Albany area gymnastics association gave $1,000 to the weight room. The board moved to accept donations and thanked volunteers and auction organizers.
Staff presented a draft LTFM plan covering roofing, HVAC and gym and tennis‑court maintenance; the board voted to approve the plan so the district retains eligibility for state maintenance funding and noted the plan may be updated as project priorities and estimates are refined.
On procurement, the board approved unit‑price bids for milk and bread from the recommended vendors and recorded the motion as carried. The board also approved resolutions establishing procedures for counting write‑in votes and other election practices and reminded potential candidates of filing deadlines.
Finally, the board approved the set of handbooks (parent/student, staff, activities and secondary) and gave the secondary principal administrative discretion to complete final edits so school communications can proceed on schedule.
The meeting adjourned at 07:37.
