Cloud County reviews elevator replacement bids and confirms PUMP Act lactation requirement

Meeting materials noted the existing elevators were installed in 1993 (East) and 1984 (West) and that replacement parts are unlikely to be available for repairs, prompting consideration of modernization or replacement.
Emergency Management reported quotes to repair hail damage to a department truck; the board asked that KCAMP be consulted before authorizing repairs. Emergency Management staff also said the county’s 2025 Emergency Preparedness Grant award was reduced to $9,846.61 after the county did not meet all grant requirements following a director change.
No binding action to accept elevator bids, authorize repairs or change personnel policy was recorded at the June 29 meeting; the items were presented for information and for future consideration.
