Chief Reed presented monthly public-safety statistics for June: the Fire Department recorded 136 calls (99 medical calls, one motor-vehicle crash with injuries and about 10 smoke/fire calls) and the Police Department recorded 631 calls for service, including 369 traffic stops and 18 warrants served. Chief Reed described most traffic enforcement as warning-oriented and said fewer UTC citations were issued, stressing that enforcement aims to curb unsafe behavior rather than generate revenue.
