Lindenhurst board approves bills, treasurer’s report and property‑maintenance code update

The board approved the minutes of the July 26 meeting on a motion by Trustee Dawn Suchy, seconded by Trustee Ron Grace (voice vote: Aye–4, Nay–0, Abstain–2). Trustee Pat Dunham moved and Trustee Dawn Suchy seconded approval of the first set of August bills for payment, totaling $448,152.97 for invoices due on or before Aug. 9; a roll‑call vote recorded Aye votes from Trustees Pat Dickson, Pat Dunham, Patty Chybowski, Dawn Suchy, Heath Rosten and Ron Grace and the motion carried.
Trustee Pat Dunham read the Treasurer’s Report for July 2021, reporting total balances of $9,929,365.40 as of July 31; Trustee Dunham’s motion to approve the report, seconded by Trustee Heath Rosten, passed on a roll‑call vote (Aye–6).
Mayor Dominic Marturano recommended appointing Trustee Patrick Dickson to the Finance Committee and Trustee Ronald Grace to the Human Resources Committee; Trustee Pat Dunham moved the appointments, Trustee Patty Chybowski seconded and the board approved by voice vote (Aye–6).
On Ordinance 21‑8‑2204, Trustee Dawn Suchy moved adoption to update Chapter 93 (Property Maintenance Code) so the village reference aligns with current practice (the 2012 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code); Trustee Ron Grace seconded and a roll‑call vote recorded six ayes, motion carried.
The board adjourned at 8:14 p.m. following a motion by Trustee Patty Chybowski and second by Trustee Dawn Suchy (voice vote Aye–6).
