Building on that orientation, the board adopted three goals for the year: (1) learn together as a governance team (including learning walks and a student advisory), (2) advocate effectively for county schools (engage legislators and legislative priorities), and (3) promote a data‑informed governance culture (including understanding SB 141 performance growth target requirements). Board members said the one‑page superintendent‑board operating agreement and concise governance goals will make it easier to reference expectations in future decisions.
