Newton County SWMA ratifies FY2027 budget, approves 10‑year solid waste plan and engineering task orders
At its June 11 meeting the Newton County Solid Waste Management Authority ratified the FY2027 Solid Waste budget, approved two ACC task orders totaling $253,375, and adopted the Newton County Ten‑Year Solid Waste Management Plan (2026–2035). The board also reviewed May tonnage and financials and noted operational schedule changes for Juneteenth and July 3 closures.
