At the Nov. 20 meeting, board member Brian Cali provided a brief update on the town’s solar array, saying reallocation of generation credits to each building is functioning and that the project timing allowed the town to capture federal tax credits and group net-metering incentives from Green Mountain Power that are being phased out.
Kevin Kaija raised a maintenance concern about snow accumulating at the bottom of the panels so it cannot slide off; Brian said the accumulation does not greatly affect generation this time of year and that he has cleared similar buildup in the past. Brian told the board he will give a fuller update at the winter solstice.
No formal actions or budget changes related to the solar array were recorded at the meeting.
