At the Dec. 2 Lumberport council meeting, Ryan Holcomb of Thrasher Engineering reported a software conflict affecting the town’s water meters that has produced inaccurate customer bills.
Holcomb said the firm and town staff are reviewing individual customer accounts and that it should be possible to generate correct bills once the issue is resolved. The council received the report; no formal vote accompanied that discussion.
Council members did not provide additional technical details during the meeting and asked staff to continue account checks and report updates as they become available.
