The Glide SD 12 school board adopted an educator-ethics policy on its second reading after staff review and discussion.
Superintendent Freeman said the policy (identified in the meeting as JCAA and referenced to OSBA guidance) is a standard resource for educators and aligns with the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) framework. "This is the 2nd reading on policy JCAA," Freeman said, describing the policy as a recommended OSBA document and an additional place educators can look for ethics guidance.
A board member moved to adopt policy GCAA as presented. Another member asked whether any staff review raised concerns; a board member said staff had reviewed the policy and "No red flags came up to anybody." The chair called the question and the motion passed on a voice vote.
The transcript records both policy identifiers (JCAA in the superintendent's presentation and GCAA in the motion); the board recorded adoption during this meeting and staff will post the adopted policy to the district policy repository.
