During routine superintendent reports on May 14, Unified School District No. 404 Superintendent Kevin Cooper updated the board on KESA matters and construction activity. Cooper said materials were being ordered for a concession-stand project and that work was expected to begin the following week.
Cooper also outlined the district’s plan to select a Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) and opened the CMAR selection process for board authorization; the board authorized the process by motion. Public comment was allowed on the CMAR discussion but none was offered during the meeting.
The authorization allows district administrators to proceed with the CMAR selection steps described in the meeting packet; the board did not record selection outcomes at the May 14 meeting.
