SPSA board amends procurement rules, raising small-purchase threshold
The Southeastern Public Service Authority board voted July 22 to amend its procurement policy to raise the small-dollar purchase threshold from $5,000 to $7,500 and to align the mid-tier purchasing process with the executive director's $100,000 authority under state law. The Southeastern Public Service Authority board on July 22 approved a resolution to raise the authority thresholds in its procurement policy, moving the lower small-purchase threshold from $5,000 to $7,500 and clarifying that purchases between $7,500 and $100,000 will be handled via a three-quote small-purchase procedure while purchases above $100,000 will require a formal bid process.
