Sheriff KC Bang told the Dundy County Board of Commissioners that a major electrical outage on Sunday, July 19, caused the courthouse generator to fail to start automatically and resulted in a loss of local communications and the 911 telephone line. "The generator did not start automatically that evening as it should," Bang said, and deputies had to start it manually.
