Selectboard hears WWTF update; E. coli issue reported resolved

At its Jan. 26 meeting, the Town of Proctor Selectboard and its water and sewer boards heard a wastewater treatment facility update and took routine procedural votes to convene and adjourn the water and sewer commissions.
Sewer staff reported that WWTF operations are using the second lagoon while staff compile operational data. The report included that an E. coli issue has been resolved and that crews responded to two recent sewer backups. No formal remedial actions beyond routine operations were recorded in the minutes.
The board handled procedural motions to move between the Selectboard, Board of Water Commissioners and Board of Sewer Commissioners during the meeting. Selectboard member Linda Doty moved at 6:26 p.m. to adjourn the Selectboard and convene the Board of Water Commissioners; Jay Thorton seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Bruce Baccei moved at 6:27 p.m. to adjourn the Board of Water Commissioners and convene the Board of Sewer Commissioners; Linda Doty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. At about 6:30 p.m. Albert Wenta moved to adjourn the Board of Sewer Commissioners and reconvene the Selectboard; Linda Doty seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The meeting closed with a final adjournment at 6:41 p.m., moved by Linda Doty and seconded by Bruce Baccei.
The board’s minutes show no further formal votes tied to the WWTF report.
