Council votes to let Midstates RDA membership lapse at established termination date
After legal review and discussion, the council voted 5-2 to take no further action on Midstates Corridor RDA participation and allow associated memberships to terminate on the RDA's scheduled end date, Dec. 31, 2027. Legal counsel said withdrawal before that date was not feasible under the current structure.

Council debated three options for the city's role in the Midstates Corridor RDA: do nothing, adopt an ordinance to remain until the RDA's termination, or adopt a withdrawal ordinance effective at the RDA termination date. City legal counsel said there was no statutory path to an earlier unilateral withdrawal and that the RDA had established a termination date of Dec. 31, 2027.
