Town introduces Community Preservation Project Plan targeting 3,341 acres

Staff presented a Community Preservation Project Plan that lists target parcels (3,341 acres) and a toolbox of preservation tools (PDRs, conservation easements, fee acquisition); the plan will be posted for public review and a public hearing scheduled for Aug. 26, 2026.

Town staff presented the Community Preservation Project Plan as a roadmap for how CPF revenues could be used to preserve farmland, scenic lands, wetlands, stream corridors and public access. Tristan, who led the presentation, said the plan prioritizes farmland preservation: "The main objective and the highest priority for land preservation in this plan is the preservation of farmland."
