Board approves reallocation for three Barth parcels; Avacon item held for verification

County Assessor staff told the Board that the combined assessed value for three parcels owned by the Gary Barth Revocable Trust would remain unchanged, but recommended reallocating value among the individual parcels using an income approach to better reflect each parcel’s use. Brian Grimm, County Assessor/Register of Deeds Chief Field Deputy, explained the recommended reallocation and said the combined total would not change.
The Board approved the assessor’s recommendation by voice vote. Grimm also said he was "unaware of why Avacon was listed on the agenda," and the board voted to hold consideration of the Avacon Inc. item pending staff verification so the Assessor’s Office could determine next steps.
