Councilors asked whether there were more local vendors able to supply this specialized equipment; staff said none were found in-state and cited a positive reference from another large department that used the vendor. The motion to approve the contract was made and carried by roll call. Staff said awarded funds will be budgeted across upcoming fiscal processes and the department will manage procurement in compliance with grant terms.
