The Altamont council reviewed quotes for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for the fire department and discussed applying for an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG). The AFG micro grant is limited to $75,000; council discussed that the Township is not eligible to apply and explored how shared ownership or leasing could work if the City purchases equipment for both entities.
