Altamont approves Labette County Hazard Mitigation Plan (Resolution 303)
The council approved Resolution 303 to adopt the Kansas Homeland Security Region H Hazard Mitigation Plan, enabling the city to participate in county-level mitigation planning.

Charlie Morse of Labette County Emergency Management briefed the council on the Labette County mitigation plan and the Labette County Emergency Plan pending state approval, and asked the City of Altamont to adopt a resolution to participate. Councilmember Lyle Sykes moved and Kyle Wiford seconded to approve Resolution 303, "Kansas Homeland Security Region H Hazard Mitigation Plan," and the motion carried.
