Fire chief reports response times, onboarding changes and new training tools
The Fire Chief told the committee that year-end response times were 3:45 (Jan) and 4:35 (Feb), reinforced a 90-second station "out the door" standard, and described a new electronic task book, QR-linked training videos and an expanded orientation for out-of-state hires.

At the March 25 meeting the Fire Chief presented operational metrics and changes to onboarding and training. He said response times were 3 minutes 45 seconds in January and 4 minutes 35 seconds in February and reiterated the department standard that crews aim for a 90-second "out the door" time measured from station notification to departure; station screens display live clocks to help crews meet that target.
