District staff described a set of restorative-practice strategies and a diversionary School Justice Partnership with La Crosse County that aims to hold students accountable with supports rather than immediate criminal charges. Staff said the partnership targets minor adolescent offenses (e.g., minor theft, minor battery, property damage) that are more appropriately addressed by intervention and support than by arrest, and that families and caregivers are often engaged in the intervention.
