City staff outlined the steps vendors must complete to secure a Springfield location permit: first obtain the health department inspection and permit (temporary or permanent), secure any required fire inspection depending on equipment (propane/fryers), obtain a police peddler license, and then submit a DPW application with a site sketch and property owner approval for private lots. Chris Signoli said DPW needs a clear sketch showing the truck location so the department can verify buffer distances and parking impacts. "We want to see on a site where you're going to be... we're not looking for an engineered plan, but we want to see a sketch," Signoli said.
