The city clerk read Ordinance 2839 by title, an ordinance "of the city of Enumclaw" adopting a new chapter on electric motorcycles in the city code. A staff member (police commander Tony Ryan was asked to give a report) told council there were no changes to the staff recommendation. A committee report said committee members asked that training be publicized but had no other objections.
Council member Martineau moved to approve the ordinance on second reading and a council member seconded; the council approved the ordinance on a voice vote. "An ordinance of the city of Enumclaw, King County, Washington relating to the use and operation of electric motorcycles… adopting a new chapter 10.42 within the Enumclaw city code titled electric motorcycles," was read by the clerk. The ordinance passed by voice vote and will be enacted according to the effective date specified in the ordinance text.
