Commissioners voted to change the Veteran Service Officer (VSO) from a part-time position to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week post after hearing a presentation on caseload increases and service needs. The VSO described an increase in veteran visits and phone calls and proposed three staffing options; commissioners discussed costs and potential insurance savings if the incumbent waived employer coverage.
