County staff reported a Microsoft Teams coordination meeting with the Federal Highway Administration and regional partners that left the Milwaukee bridge project on track for summer 2026 construction. The update said the project had passed many environmental processes, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service attached mitigation requirements, and follow‑up coordination meetings are scheduled for February, April and June 2026.
