Commission forwards trash-code amendment to Board to consolidate enforcement into county code

Prince George County planning staff told commissioners July 23 that OA26-0002 is a straightforward code-cleanup proposal to remove trash, garbage and refuse enforcement language from the zoning ordinance and place it in a new, appropriate chapter of the county code. The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to take related action in August.
Staff said the change is intended to eliminate confusion about which code chapter governs trash enforcement and that the Board would adopt the parallel code-move the same night so enforcement authority is clear. There were no public speakers on this item. The commission voted to forward OA26-0002 to the Board with a recommendation for approval.
