Riley King reviewed recommended changes approved by the Parks & Rec Commission on June 3, including targeted increases for facility and equipment rentals (ramadas, sports fields), a 10% increase to MGC memberships while keeping daily passes unchanged, and new fees tied to new rodeo-ground amenities (pavilion, dry camping, RV hook-ups, portable stalls). King said aquatics fees would not change and program/activity ranges were retained. King explained the proposed fees will be posted for a 60-day waiting period before a public hearing and return to council for final action.
Council members asked technical questions (electrical-service fee differences tied to 50-amp circuits, generator use for vendors, and location of the multipurpose room at the multi-gen center). Staff answered those operational questions and confirmed they will bring back any adjustments before the public hearing.
