Commissioners approve relocating and adding speed bumps after neighborhood complaints

After residents raised repeated speeding and safety concerns near a school bus stop, commissioners voted to relocate a previously approved bump at Frontier/Dogwood and to install two speed bumps on Newman Trail; votes passed with abstentions and staff will add or confirm signage.

Commissioners considered multiple resident requests to address speeding on Frontier, Dogwood and Newman Trail. Roads and maintenance (Mister Tim) explained locations and showed a map; a motion to move a previously approved bump at Frontier closer to the bus stop at Frontier/Dogwood passed after clarification of the map and discussion about sightlines. "I would like to move it up on the hill because it's set below a hill and that school stop," the proponent said when describing the safety rationale.
